2019 UTME: JAMB Speaks On Thousand of Candidates ‘Rewriting’ Examination

It seems like the issue of JAMB releasing the results of 2019 UTME candidates this week as promised will not be fulfilled. Instead, the board has been releasing different reasons to the general public.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has come out to officially denied the reports that candidates who sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be “rewriting the 2019” examination.

We were made to understand that there have been some confirmed reports that the JAMB server has crashed, along with the results of candidates who sat for the examination, with some news portal saying that there may be a need for another UTME to be conducted since the results of candidates are lost.

However, JAMB has said such reports were fake as results of candidates remain intact within their server.

Speaking recently on this new update about JAMB server crashing, JAMB Head of Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin, has disclosed that the reports were not only wicked but fraudulent.

He said and I quote below;

”The UTME board want to completely distance itself from such malicious and wicked rumors by fraudulent persons, as there is no truth in them,” he told News Agency Nigeria.

”The jamb board has not issued any press statement regarding the crashing of the server. All these rumors are the antics of desperate persons trying to cause panic and confusion among candidates and the general public and from some stupid means, take money from unsuspecting candidates.

The Spokesperson for jamb went further to say that this rumor will not derail the board, rather, they will remain focused on making sure that the board achieves what they have set out to achieve and accomplish. According to the JAMB Head of media and information, who said and I quote;

”After the JAMB examination, the board of directors embarked on screening of centers and other vices to determine any form of examination malpractice and infractions by both candidates and examination centers. This is what has been delaying the release of the results.”

More details will soon be released. Please share with your friends.
