JAMB Officials Gives Reasons Why 2019 UTME Results is Not Out
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially disclosed to Millions of candidates who participated in the 2019 UTME, that it would ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the exercise.
According to information from the board’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dr. Fabian Benjamin who disclosed this important information to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, 16th April 2019 in Bwari, FCT Abuja.

The UTME head of Media and Publicity disclosed that as of April 13th, more than 1.2 million persons have successfully written the examination which is scheduled to end Wednesday, April 17th 2019.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that over 1.8 million candidates registered for the UTME that commenced nationwide on April 11th.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin disclosed to NANs that the process of the examination has so far been successful, saying that the JAMB board is currently fighting to resolve challenges and make everything smoothly.
He also said that the board was still investigating those who were unable to be verified through its biometric process and would come out with a stand on the matter.
Speaking also on the issue of results, Benjamin said that no results have been released yet.
Dr. Fabian also disclosed that the board are still screening the results of all Candidates as the examination is still ongoing. The PRO disclosed that more fraudulent activities were being identified in the process, adding up to the reason why the UTME 2019 result are yet to be released.
Fabian went further to say and we quote him below:
“The UTME board have to keep screening these results because there are so many issues we discovered, including some candidates doing multiple registrations, impersonation of candidates in Examination hall and the likes, so we are still fishing them out.
“Some of these Perpretrators have been arrested and those yet to be arrested will soon be arrested, because we have their records and we will fish then out. However, candidates should expect their results very soon.”
When asked about the suspension of some CBT centers and it’s impactation on the 2019 UTME, he answered by saying that the board’s suspension of some Computer Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide has not affected the candidates or their will it delay anything.
The jamb board in its weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar for April 15th, has shared a story where it uncovered and arrested ‘Professional Examination Writers’ who writes examination for candidates for a price.
According to the bulletin, 50 of these fraudulent persons have been arrested in different JAMB centres across the country as a result of various intelligence gathering.
In the Bulletin, the board has so far, suspended 49 CBT centres from participating in the ongoing exercise after their action during and after the Mock Examination was “Unprofessional”.
The suspended centres which are spread across the 36 states in Nigeria were suspended for failing to live up to expectations in ensuring a seamless examination for the JAMB examination.
30 of the pre-approved JAMB exam centres were suspended during the start of the exam on April 11th, while the other 19 were blacklisted during the registration’s exercise. Amazingly, out of the 49 Centers banned, 10 of the centres are located in the FCT Abuja.
